RV Vacation TipsAs you reach for yet another cup of coffee to warm you during the cold Indiana winter, probably the last thing on your mind is spring break. Perhaps you just got back into the routine at work, or you just shipped your kids back to school. The Christmas decorations have barely been put back into the attic. Our staff at S&H Campground don’t want to rush you.

However, before you know it, the snow will melt away to spring, and you’ll be itching to get away for a much-needed vacation. The time to start planning is now!

Advantages to Planning Ahead

Many people think that planning a spring getaway in January is ludicrous. “You have TIME!” they say. However, you can find many benefits to planning your vacation ahead of time:

  • Find special discounts & offers. When you start planning early, you can take your time and be on the lookout for special offers or deals. That way, when one pops up, you can confidently snag it and save.
  • Book the RV or the campsite you want (not what’s left). It’s no secret that the closer you get to spring break or any vacation season, availability of rentals and campsites become more limited. By booking early, you get your pick of the pack.
  • Avoid last-minute planning anxiety. We’ve all been there. You decide late in the game that you want to go on vacation, so you’re trying to band-aid together a trip, which can be pretty exhausting. However, when you start early, you avoid this crazy rush to the finish.
